“France and the United Kingdom will hold a conference in the coming days aimed at restoring freedom of navigation in the strait. This will be a peaceful multinational and strictly defensive mission, separate from the belligerents.
“France welcomes the victory of democratic participation, the Hungarian people's commitment to the values of the European Union, and Hungary's commitment to Europe.
“There's too much speaking; it's going in all directions. It's a serious situation. It's the lives of women, men, the lives of civilians at stake. When we want to be serious, we don't say each day the opposite of what we said the day before.
“The outbreak of war among the United States, Israel and Iran has serious consequences for peace and international security. France was not informed and did not participate in the strikes on Iran. France reaffirms Israel's right to defend itself and ensure its security, but forcing regime change in Iran would be a strategic mistake.
