“Today's ruling affirms that in California we will defend democracy — using every branch of government. And the new laws I signed just last week add new protections so attacks like this cannot happen again.

“Donald Trump won't stop until he can exert dictatorial control over your free vote and disenfranchise millions of people this November. California will stop him at every opportunity. We have no bigger task than fighting to protect the right to vote from interference and meddling – the future of democracy is on the line.
“This is SICK! Donald Trump is threatening to hold disaster relief hostage based on how people vote. This UN-AMERICAN PRESIDENCY ENDS on November 3rd.
“Donald Trump just replaced the Pledge of Allegiance with a pledge of allegiance to himself. This November, the choice is yours on the ballot: America or Trump.
“An absolutely disgusting thing to lie about.
“This is truly unhinged behavior from the President of the United States. I don't want to hear 'oh, it's just Trump being Trump' or that he's 'trolling.' Enough. None of this is normal or okay. Republicans cannot keep shrugging this off.
“They tried to restrict voting rights via the USPS system, we sued, and we won an order blocking the USPS rule through the November elections!
“Another day, another Trump attempt to rig elections and destroy democracy. We can stop this. VOTE this November.
“Our closest ally. Our critical trading partner. And Trump is hitting Canada with 50% tariffs. What the actual fuck are we doing?
“This is a necessary step to protect a river that 40 million Americans depend on, at a time when climate change is driving a regional water crisis that makes every drop of water count. California continues to lead the way forward, growing our economy while cutting our Colorado River water use to the lowest level since 1949. I appreciate Secretary Burgum’s work with California and all seven basin states to get to this point. That said, this operations plan provides only short-term stability. In the coming months, each state across the basin must step up to conserve water and continue to work together across the basin to achieve a durable long-term approach that positions our region for future prosperity. Any long-term solution must share responsibility fairly across all seven states in recognition of the new reality of the Colorado River.
“Trump is lying about California again—time to take the phone away from grandpa and put him to sleep.
