“Trump is trying to commandeer nearly $1.8 billion in taxpayer funds to bankroll a slush fund for January 6 cop-beaters and aggrieved MAGA foot soldiers.
“Trump suing the IRS was never about justice, it's another self-enrichment scheme on the backs of hard-working taxpayers. Trump is scrambling to cut a backroom deal and solidify his position as the judge, jury, and executioner.

This is a massive and unprecedented presidential plunder of the American people.
“The Supreme Court has completed its effective demolition of the Voting Rights Act. Six Justices have ravaged Congress's express purposes, rewriting and effectively neutralizing Section 2 of the VRA by demanding the very standard of proof to bring a VRA claim — a showing of intentional racial discrimination — that Congress explicitly rejected in 1982.
“Trump's systematic exploitation of Executive Branch power to loot billions of dollars from American taxpayers is the ongoing scandal of this ruthlessly corrupt Administration. The 'Ban Presidential Plunder of Taxpayer Funds Act' will prevent the president from pursuing the emerging MAGA grift of suing the government as a 'plaintiff' on bogus grounds and then settling the suit as 'defendant' for big bucks.

“Pam Bondi's tenure will be remembered as a profound betrayal not only of the Department of Justice but of the American people. She transformed the people's Department of Justice into the President's private instrument of vengeance.
“Now, Trump, who fashions himself a king, is doing the dirty work himself, tearing apart the people's house to build a gaudy Marie Antoinette ballroom for the billionaires and CEOs to party while Americans are crushed by inflation and tariffs.
