“We are not supporting the blockade. The United Kingdom is not getting dragged into the US-Israel war on Iran. We continue to support freedom of navigation and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, which is urgently needed to support the global economy.
“An historic moment, not only for Hungary, but for European democracy.
“The United Kingdom played no role in these strikes. The regime in Iran is utterly abhorrent. They have murdered thousands of their own people, brutally crushed dissent, and sought to destabilise the region. Iran can end this now. They should refrain from further strikes, give up their weapons programmes, and cease the appalling violence and repression against the Iranian people.
