“Donald Trump and JD Vance dragged the U.S. into a deadly and costly war they clearly cannot find a way out of – at the expense of the American people who are struggling to make ends meet. Trump and Vance explicitly promised no new foreign wars, yet six months in, there is no end in sight to the conflict that has driven up prices on everything from gas to groceries. While Republicans claim they cannot bring down costs or fund affordable healthcare for everyday Americans, they continue to spend billions of dollars on a war no one wanted or asked for – and voters will remember this betrayal when they head to the polls in November.

“Today, we are taking strong, joint legal action to stop Trump's unlawful attempt to restrict mail-in voting through the Postal Service. Yesterday's Supreme Court ruling did not say that Trump's executive order attacking voting rights is constitutional. But the law is clear: States have the authority to run elections — not the president. We will not stand by while Trump and Republicans try to unnecessarily inject chaos and confusion into our elections, just weeks before voting begins.
“It's going to battle-test our nominee with key parts of our coalition and key parts of the country in a way that we've never seen before.
“Our official party positions are determined at the convention every four years in our platform. However, clearly, the one thing that unites Democrats, regardless of their position on reform versus abolish or whatever other ways to change what's happening, is people believe that what ICE is doing right now and CBP and the federal government should stop. There has to be a better way.
