It's baffling that the son of a President would even think about allowing a Russian oligarch to bankroll his wedding. Is this why President Trump skipped his son's wedding? Oversight Democrats are investigating and demanding answers immediately.
“Holding Leon Black in contempt of Congress is a critical step in the fight for justice for the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein. Black continues to defy two Congressional subpoenas. Over the course of their relationship, Black gave over $180 million dollars to Jeffrey Epstein. He failed to appear for his deposition and has refused to provide critical information to this Committee. The House must now vote to hold him in contempt.

Multiple women have also accused Black of sexual assault. His connections to Epstein and his unwillingness to cooperate are unacceptable. We must hold him in contempt immediately.
“Today, the process of contempt has to begin.
“DHS crossed the line of routine law enforcement into targeting political dissent — a violation that is unacceptable to American democracy.
“Instead of investigating the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, DHS sought to criminalize U.S. citizens exercising their constitutional rights.
“Law enforcement in a free and democratic society depends on the officers entrusted with authority to act within the rules and safeguards of our legal system.
“This footage and the incident it depict are deeply concerning. They echo the larger pattern of dishonesty and dangerous, unjustified escalation we have unfortunately seen from DHS agents across the country, which resulted in the tragic deaths of Ruben Ray Martinez, Renee Good, Alex Pretti, Joan Sebastian Durán Guerrero, and Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. What happened to Carolina Molina cannot be dismissed as an ordinary interaction between ICE and a member of the public. We therefore request that the FBI conduct a formal investigation into this incident, and that the DOJ Civil Rights Division evaluates those findings.
“The appearance of numerous conflicts of interest from a President trading in individual stocks – including the potential for insider trading, market manipulation, and policy decisions that benefit the President's stock portfolio rather than the public interest – undermines public trust in government
“You yourself signed a financial disclosure certifying your awareness of thousands of individual stock transactions.
“Leon Black had a chance to do the right thing and help us bring justice to the survivors. Instead, he ran out of the room when he was pressed for information about his non-disclosure agreements with women and his relationship with survivors of Jeffrey Epstein. He has now been subpoenaed and must provide real answers to the Committee. He will be held accountable if he doesn’t comply with our investigation.
“The NDAs are central to us understanding what actually happened. There are real accusations, and there are survivors who have accused Mr. Black of horrific things.
“I just want to be very clear that we continue to be incredibly disappointed of the decision to not have this interview videotaped and then released to the American public... it should have been under oath and it should be videotaped. We obviously have a lot of questions as it relates to why only 50% of the files have been released, why many of the survivors … were literally put in danger by the way the files were released.
