If the result of all that is to be an Iranian regime—still run by Islamists who chant 'death to America'—now receiving billions of dollars, being able to enrich uranium & develop nuclear weapons, and having effective control over the Strait of Hormuz, then that outcome would be a disastrous mistake.

This is one of the roughest meetings I've seen in my entire time in the Senate. Fiery does not begin to cut it. They were screaming at the acting attorney general. If the administration does not modify the anti-weaponization fund by the time Congress comes back into session, they've got a full-on revolt in the Senate.

“

Trump has been one of the biggest victims of weaponization. I consider this an appropriate approach and use of tax dollars, as long as the guardrails exist. We have to have the accountability measures and the safeguards, so that it is not a quote, slush fund, where you're doling out monies to political allies that don't have legitimate claims. It needs to be fair and objective — that's why I think the Senate's going to find a path forward.

There's going to be some change to this judgment fund. I don't know what it's going to be, but it will be something that the White House and the Department of Justice agree on.

There were fireworks at an epic level, and I got to say it's one of the roughest meetings I've seen in my entire time in the Senate. At least half of them were blasting the attorney general. They were pissed.

Reminder that the Biden FBI was actively colluding with the SPLC to target traditional Catholics as domestic extremists. They also labeled organizations like the Alliance Defending Freedom, Family Research Council, and Moms for Liberty as hate groups as well. It turns out they were actively funding the 'hate' that they claimed to be fighting while targeting innocent conservatives.

We feel like we need improvements. Obviously, we want greater protections for citizens with respect to warrants. We want to make sure that there's greater penalties, for example, for government officials who abuse their authority and power.

This is a privacy issue. It's a very important tool, don't get me wrong, against terrorists. But you cannot, in my mind, continue to warrantlessly surveil U.S. citizens that don't have an immediate nexus or tie to some terrorists. We'll see... but I don't think the clean extension will pass.

For too long, Iran and its tentacles of terror have destabilized the Middle East and waged an all-out assault on the West and our values. With today's strikes by U.S. forces led by our Commander-in-Chief, President Trump, there is finally an opening for these dark days to come to an end.

The Ayatollah has repeatedly tried to assassinate President Trump, now they are seeking nuclear weapons and the ability to hit American homeland. Today's action will enhance the national security of the United States and our allies.

As a policy matter, birthright citizenship is stupid, because it incentivizes illegal immigration. It makes absolutely no sense that someone breaks the law and they get rewarded with a very, very, precious gift, which is American citizenship.

I voted NO on today's Republican legislation to fund DHS/ICE. A rogue agency tied to in-custody deaths, abusive detention practices, ...

“

We must stop these lawless attacks on innocent American citizens. We will continue to expose the Trump regime's lies and demand accountability.

A ballroom in the White House will be used by presidents, both Republicans and Democrats, and it's being funded without a penny of taxpayer money.
