Americans need more affordable housing. Unfortunately, this bill doesn't do enough to provide it, instead increasing the federal government's long-running and failed involvement in the U.S. housing market.

FISA 702 reauthorization failed because it did not contain a warrant requirement for spying on Americans. The people who spied on the Trump campaign, Members of Congress, and countless other Americans hate the idea. Come back with warrant requirement, and we'll pass the bill.

On first blush, it doesn't pass the smell test.

What the Supreme Court did today was to say that it's not okay to engage in racial gerrymandering. The government, under the constitution, is not supposed to treat you differently based on your race. Almost never is that appropriate. There are very, very few circumstances where it is, and this is not one of those.

The political left spent decades hiding their racial obsession behind the banner of civil rights. Today, that game ends.

The War Powers Resolution of 1973 provides the authority for a president to respond to emerging threats — for a limited period of time. I will not support ongoing military action beyond a 60-day window without congressional approval. The Constitution assigns Congress the responsibility to 'provide for the common defense,' and in that context, it gives Congress the corresponding power to declare war.

For decades, Iran's regime has acted as a destabilizing force — arming terrorist proxies, mass slaughtering its own people, and pursuing nuclear capabilities with explicit intent to destroy Israel and America. They have targeted and killed Americans abroad and are actively attempting to assassinate Iranians and Americans on U.S. soil, and even the President.
