I just want to be very clear that we continue to be incredibly disappointed of the decision to not have this interview videotaped and then released to the American public... it should have been under oath and it should be videotaped. We obviously have a lot of questions as it relates to why only 50% of the files have been released, why many of the survivors … were literally put in danger by the way the files were released.

The repressive Cuban regime has suppressed its population and stifled the economic progress of its people for decades. Much as I wish the regime gone and a better future for the Cuban people, there is no indication that Cuba poses a significant national security threat to the United States. The American people have spoken loud and clear that they do not want any more costly wars of choice that skyrocket prices at home.

Recent Ukrainian gains have created an opportunity for peace, but the collapse of the recent ceasefire shows that leverage is needed for diplomacy to succeed. Congress can act now, in a bipartisan way, to strengthen that leverage and advance a durable peace that protects the interests of the United States and our allies. We must also send a strong message that Russian support for Iran's targeting of U.S. military assets will not be tolerated.

Pam Bondi has illegally defied our committee, skipped her deposition, and has refused to cooperate. We have introduced a contempt resolution to hold her accountable. It's interesting how it's only when we take action that they actually ever do anything. This is great news — Bondi's testimony is crucial given her extensive personal knowledge about how the Administration handled the Epstein files.

Over the past 15 months, we have seen unprecedented corruption from this administration, but this new abuse of power of providing huge cash payments to 'settle' baseless lawsuits brought forward by Trump and his allies is a new low. The bill that Senator Warren, Leader Schumer, Ranking Member Raskin, and I are bringing forward would stop this backdoor bribery and bring some accountability back to the federal government.

I am deeply sorry to my family, staff, and constituents for mistakes in judgment I've made in my past. I will fight the serious, false allegation made against me. However, I must take responsibility and ownership for the mistakes I did make. I am aware of efforts to bring an immediate expulsion vote against me. Expelling anyone in Congress without due process, within days of an allegation being made, is wrong. But it's also wrong for my constituents to have me distracted from my duties. Therefore, I plan to resign my seat in Congress.

Hegseth should be fired. He endangered our pilots, he's killing survivors at sea, and now his department is defying a federal court order to let the press do its job. The American people have a right to know what the Pentagon is doing, especially during a war.

The subpoena requires Pam Bondi to appear for a sworn deposition regarding the Department of Justice's handling of the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and his associates and compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Her firing does not nullify a valid subpoena. Chairman Comer must publicly reaffirm that Bondi is legally obligated to appear, and Congress must enforce its own subpoenas — otherwise our oversight authority is meaningless.

Pam Bondi must come in to testify immediately, and if she defies the subpoena, we will begin contempt charges in the Congress. The subpoena was lawful, bipartisan, and named Bondi personally — not by title. The American people have a right to know how the Department of Justice handled the Epstein files, and no one is above the law, including a fired Attorney General trying to dodge accountability.
